Commented translation of non-literary text from Spanish to Czech, field: social /culture sciences: Social worries about childhood and adolescence

Abstract:

The main purpose of this thesis was a translation of an academic text from the sociology and psychology field from Spanish to Czech and its subsequent analysis. The work is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter we find the translation of the source text. In the second chapter, we focused on the analysis of this text, focusing on its basics features and in terms of individual language levels. In the third chapter is devoted to the analysis of translation process, especially on the method of translating professional terminology and the translation strategies and procedures used. In the las chapter we dealt with our chosen linguistic phenomenon - participle. The aim was to focus on systemic similarities and differences and on the possibilities of the translation of the participle. Congruences occur mainly in the case the passive voice. The differences appeared in the case of the translation of the verb peripherals and participle, which is the core of semi-sentential constructions, in the most cases we chose the translation using deverbal adjectives.

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce byl překlad odborného textu z oblasti sociologie a psychologie ze španělštiny do češtiny a jeho následná analýza. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole nalezneme samotný překlad výchozího textu. Ve druhé kapitole jsme se věnovali překladové analýze, věnovali jsme se jak základním rysům textu, tak i jeho analýze z hlediska jednotlivých jazykových rovin. V třetí kapitole jsme se zaměřili na analýzu překladatelského procesu, zejména na způsob převodu odborné terminologie a na užité překladatelské strategie a postupy. V poslední kapitole jsme se zabývali námi zvoleným lingvistickým jevem - participiem. Cílem bylo zaměřit se na systémové shody a rozdíly a na možnosti překladu participia do češtiny. Shody se projevily zejména při překladu opisného pasiva. Rozdíly se objevily v případě překladu slovesných perifrází a participia, které je jádrem polovětných konstrukcí, ve většině případů jsme zvolili překlad pomocí deverbálních adjektiv.
