Attitudes of female university students toward motherhood and marriage

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá postoji a názory studentek vysoké školy na mateřství a manželství. Cílem práce bylo zjistit a popsat jaké názory mají studentky vysoké školy na mateřství a manželství. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část se nejprve věnuje postojům k mateřství a manželství v obecné rovině, výzkumům v této oblasti a volbě partnera, která je s postoji úzce spojena. Následuje vymezení základních pojmů, forem rodiny, které dominují v současné době, jejich charakteristiky a statistické údaje. Ve třetí kapitole jsou popsány faktory, které postoje k mateřství a manželství ovlivňují a jsou s nimi spjaty, jako jsou osobnostní charakteristiky, výchova k rodičovství a vliv rodiny, a dále se zaměřuje na ambice a aspirace v oblasti vzdělávání, konkrétně na vysokoškolské vzdělávání žen. Čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje kombinaci pracovního a rodinného života a vymezuje role, které žena zastává v rodině. V empirické části je popsána metodologie výzkumného šetření, analýza a interpretace výsledků.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with attitudes and opinions of female university students on motherhood and marriage. The aim of the thesis was to find out and describe the opinions of female university students on motherhood and marriage. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part firstly deals with attitudes toward motherhood and marriage in general, research in this area and the choice of partner, which is closely related to attitudes. Follows definitions of basic concepts, forms of family that dominate at present, their characteristics and statistical data. The third chapter describes the factors that influence attitudes toward motherhood and marriage, such as personality characteristics, parenting and family influence, and focuses on educational ambitions and aspirations, namely university education of women. The fourth chapter deals with the combination of work and family life and defines the roles the woman holds in the family. The empirical part describes research methodology, analysis and interpretation of results.
