Bakalářská práce se věnuje historii tradičního cirusu od antiky po současnost, přičemž se soustředí na období jeho dekadence, což byla druhá polovina 20. století. V těchto letech zažívá svůj ekonomický, kulturní i estetický úpadek. Zkoumá vývoj cirkusu v závislosti od změny společnosti, politické situace a rozvoje populární kultury. This bachelor thesis deals with history of traditional circus from antiquity to contemporary age whit focus on its decadence, which is the era of late 20th century. In these years, circus goes through its economical, cultural and aesthetic decay. It analyses circus’s evolution depending on society changes, political situation and pop-culture development.
