Annotated translation of a medical text

Abstract:

Our diploma thesis under the name Commented translation of a medical text deals with the issue of the translation of the technical text. The thesis is divided into four parts ? translation itself, stylistic analysis, syntactic analysis and lexical analysis. The thesis presents general translation methods, particularities and differences between the Czech and the French language from the translation perspective. We focus on a mutual degree of the equivalence and possible solutions of its insufficiency by the means of translation methods.The contribution of the thesis consists in the appropriate translation of the extract to the Czech language, the commentary to this translation, presentation of the translatological particularities and their application in practice.

Abstract:

Naše práce, která nese název Komentovaný překlad lékařského textu, se zabývá problematikou překladu odborného textu. Práce je rozdělena na čtyři základní části ? vlastní překlad, stylistickou analýzu, syntaktickou analýzu a lexikální analýzu. Práce představuje některé obecné překladatelské postupy, specifika a rozdíly mezi českým a francouzským jazykem z pohledu překladu.Zaměřujeme se na vzájemnou míru ekvivalence a možná řešení její nedostatečnosti pomocí překladatelských postupů. Přínosem práce je adekvátní překlad úryvku autorem diplomové práce z francouzštiny do češtiny, komentář k tomuto překladu zaměřující se na překlad francouzských odborných textů, prezentace zvláštností překladu a jejich aplikace v praxi.
