Abstract:

Cieľom práce je poskytnúť odbornej verejnosti nové poznatky o českej knihe a knižnej väzbe 18. storočia. Na základe možného prístupu ku knižnému fondu z benediktínskej kláštornej knižnice v Broumove bol realizovaný typologický a reštaurátorský prieskum. V rámci diplomovej práce bol prevedený záznam údajov, spracovanie získaných informácií a ucelenie poznatkov. Praktická časť záverečnej práce zahŕňa prieskum konkrétneho obdobia a reštaurovanie starej tlače z daného knižného fondu.

Abstract:

The thesis focus is to provide a new knowledge concerning the bookbinding used on Czech book press during the 18th century. A typological and restoration research had been realized due to the book collection availability in the library of Broumov Benedictine monastery. The thesis practical part describes restoration of the book press taken from the given collection. The theoretical part reflects the practical one, its scope considers the following research workflow: data acquisition, processing of the gathered information leading to the new knowledge.
