Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce s názvem „Důchod a mezinárodní migrace“ je ověřit výskyt souvislostí mezi vývojem ukazatele Gender Wage gap v rámci zemí OECD a vývojem migrace žen v těchto zemích. Hlavní testovaná hypotéza této práce se zaměřuje na vyhodnocení exis-tence souvislostí neboli motivace pro ženskou část populace k migraci do zemí s lepšími pracovními podmínkami z pohledu genderové eko-nomie, respektive rozdílů mezi výší příjmů dvou pracovníků, jejichž jediným rozdílem je gender. K prozkoumání stanovené hypotézy byla použita data dostupná z několika zdrojů, jakožto například „The Global Gender Gap Report“ či World bank. První část práce se zaměřuje na teoretické základy týkající se organiza-ce OECD, migrace, diskriminační ekonomie, migračního modelu či In-dexu Gender Wage Gap. V praktické části jsou představena jak samotná data, tak model upravený pro konkrétní účely této práce, po čemž ná-sleduje samotná výzkumná část. V této výzkumné části je na získaná data aplikováno několik ekonometrických testů a ověřování, primárně zaměřených na sestavování transformovaného modelu metody nej-menších čtverců, a následně vyhodnocování hypotézy o existenci vlivu indexu Gender Wage Gap na ženskou migraci.

Abstract:

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis with the title “Income and inter-national migration” is to verify the existence of context between the development of the Gender Wage Gap indicator in OECD countries and the women's migration in these countries. The primary hypothesis of this thesis is focused on the evaluation of the existence of influence or even motivation for a female migration to the countries with better job opportunities from a gender economy view, mainly from the point of view of the differences in incomes belonging to workers, which differs only by gender. Data from different sources such as The Global Gender Gap Report or World Bank are used to explore this established hypothesis. The first part of this paper focuses on creating a theoretical basis about the OECD organization, migration, discriminatory economics, migration model, and index Gender Wage Gap. The second and practical part of this paper presents used data and econometric models transformed for the specific purpose of this thesis. The last part is dedicated to research purposes. In this research part are data exposed to several econometric tests and verifications, primarily focusing on creating transformed ordinary least squares models and following the hypothesis about the influence of the Gender Wage Gap on women's s migration.
