Interactive map of railway crossings

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá komplexnějším pohledem na železniční přejezdy v České republice. První částí je teoretický úvod do problematiky železničních přejezdů, aby i čtenář bez hlubších znalostí mohl pochopit souvislosti kolem každého přejezdu. Další částí je analýza dostupných informačních zdrojů o železničních přejezdech, která je zaměřena také na mapová díla a hodnocení jejich tematického obsahu. Posledními z čistě teoretických částí jsou kapitoly uvádějící čtenáře do problematiky INSPIRE (v souvislosti s dopravní tematikou) a hodnocení kvality geografických dat v obecné rovině. Aplikačními částmi práce jsou metodika hodnocení prostorových dat o železničních přejezdech, která spojuje přístupy INSPIRE a ISO. A v neposlední řadě také popis a vlastní konstrukce webových map železničních přejezdů – jak statické, tak interaktivní verze. Diplomová práce tak spojuje pohled na železniční přejezdy ze strany legislativy a dopravy spolu s kartografickými přístupy a vizualizací.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on more complex point of view on railway level crossings in the Czech republic. There is a theoretical introduction to level crossings in the first part, to allow understanding to connections around level crossings as well for less informed readers. The next part of this thesis is an analysis of accessible resources of information about level crossings. It is also focused on maps and evaluating of their thematic information. The last from the entirely theoretic parts of this thesis is the brief introduction to INSPIRE (in connection to transport) and data quality evaluating of geographic data in a general view. The application part of this thesis is the methodology of evaluating data quality of information on level crossings, that joins approach both of INSPIRE and ISO. And the last but not least part is description and construction of web maps with level crossings – both static and interactive. So this thesis relates different points of views on level crossing – from the view of legislation and transport with cartographic approach and visualization.
