Experience of child´s death from the mother´s point of view and their needs from paramedics

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem práce je vysvětlit a popsat, jaké by měly být zásady komunikace mezi všeobecnou sestrou a rodinou, především v situaci, kdy dojde k úmrtí dítěte ve zdravotnictví. Čemu se vyvarovat, a naopak co neopomenout. Bakalářská práce je složena z části teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části se zaměřím na vymezení pojmů a definic rodiny, etických vlastností sestry, komunikace, smrti a v neposlední řadě procesu truchlení. Výzkumná část bude vymezena pro informace získané prostřednictvím rozhovorů a zaslaných příběhů jednotlivých pozůstalých matek.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is to explain and describe the principals of communication between a nurse and a family, especially in the case of a child's death in healthcare. What should be avoided and should not be forgotten. The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, I focus on defining concepts and family definitions, etic features of a nurse, communication, death, and the process of mourning. The research part deals with information gained from interviews and sent stories of surviving mothers.
