Space program of USA and USSR in 1957-1975
Abstract:
Diplomová práce je analýzou vesmírného závodu mezi USA a SSSR. Jako počátek soupeření lze označit rok 1957, kdy Sovětský svaz vypustil první umnělou družici do vesmíru. Důraz je kladen na průběh souboje. Vrcholnou fázi závodu je pak snaha o přistání na Měsíci. Za konec hlavní části soupeření lze označit společnou misi USA a SSSR Sojuz-Apollo v roce 1975.
Abstract:
The thesis is an analysis of the space race between the US and the USSR. The year 1957 can be marked as the beginning of the rivalry, when the Soviet Union launched the first artificial satellite into space. The emphasis is on the course of the competition. The culminating phase of the race is then the attempt to land on the Moon. The end of the main part of the rivalry can be marked by the joint US …more
