Geomorphological and sedimentological parameters of selected high-gradient streams in Moravice River basin

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá geomorfologickým rozborem a analýzou vysokogradientových toků v povodí Moravice. Bystřinné toky fluviálního systému mají v rámci celého kontinua důležitou roli především jako zdrojnice sedimentů pro nižší partie toků. Hlavními cíly této práce bylo parametrizovat bystřinné toky v jesenické části povodí Odry a podchytit procesy, které určují další vývoj daných koryt. Dalším cílem bylo porovnat naměřené charakteristiky mezi profily v rámci toku a porovnat charakteristiky v jednotlivých profilech dle morfologie koryta vzájemně mezi oběma toky. Pomocí fluviálně geomorfologického mapování byla heterogenní koryta rozdělena na sourodé úseky dle morfologických typů. V těchto úsecích byly měřeny zkoumané charakteristiky, popsány procesy určující charakter koryta a zmapovány zdrojnice sedimentů. Během mapování byly zaznamenány i tvary a procesy vyskytující se v blízkosti koryta, které mohou ovlivňovat chování toku. Důležitou roli také hraje i půdní pokryv, který není v povodích jednotný. Výsledky zkoumaných makrogranulometrických charakteristik vykazují rozdílnosti mezi oběma toky, morfologie terénu je úzce spjata s charakterem koryta, které odráží procesy zkoumaných povodí.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the geomorphological analysis and analysis of high gradient streams in the watershed Moravice. Supercritical flows system have throughout the continuum important role, especially as source of sediments to for the lower parts of streams. The main objectives of this work were parametrizing parameterized supercritical flows of jesenik´s part of the Odra river and capture processes that determine the further development of the channels. Another objective was to compare the measured characteristics between the profiles in the flow and compare the characteristics of the individual profiles according to each channel morphology between the two flows. Use the fluvial geomorphological mapping was heterogeneous channel is divided into homogeneous sections by morphological types. For dividing into homogenous sections by morphological types was used fluvial geomorphological mapping. In these sections were measured characteristics examined, described the process of determining the nature of the channel and mapped source of sediments. During mapping were noted shapes and processes occurring in the vicinity of the trough, which may influence the flow behavior. An important role is also played by soil cover, which is not uniform in river basins.
