Nursing care of the patient after leg amputation

Abstract:

Pro svou bakalářskou práci jsem si vybrala téma "Ošetřovatelská péče o pacienta po amputaci dolní končetiny". Cílem bylo zmapovat, zda mají sestry dostatečné znalosti o této problematice a zda umí pacientovi poskytnout správnou ošetřovatelskou péči o amputační pahýl. V teoretické části popisuji obecnou charakteristiku amputací, příčiny, které vedou k amputaci, druhy amputací podle výše amputace, ošetřovatelskou péči o amputační pahýl, rehabilitaci a druhy protéz. V praktické části se zabývám kvantitativním výzkumem, ve kterém jsem se zaměřila na znalosti sester při ošetřování amputačních pahýlů a jejich přípravu k protézování. Výzkum byl prováděn metodou nestandardizovaného dotazníku vlastní konstrukce. Po zhodnocení výsledků výzkumu jsem vytvořila návrh Ošetřovatelského standardu, který by měl sloužit ke zlepšení poskytované ošetřovatelské péče o amputační pahýl. Práce zhodnocuje význam správné péče o amputační pahýl, který může vést ke zkvalitnění správného tvaru amputačního pahýlu a zkrácení doby přípravy k protézování.

Abstract:

For my bachelor thesis I have chosen the topic "Nursing care of the patient after amputation of the lower limb". The aim was to find out, whether the sisters have a sufficient knowledge about this issue and whether they can provide the patient with the correct nursing care of the amputation stump. Bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the general characteristics of amputations, the causes that lead to amputation, according to the above kinds of amputations amputations, nursing care of amputation stump, rehabilitation and types of prostheses. The practical part includes quantitative research, in which I focused on the knowledge of nurses in the treatment of amputation stumps and their preparation to prothese. The research was conducted using non-standardized questionnaire of our own design. After evaluating the results of research, I created a Nursing draft standard, which should serve to improve the nursing care of the amputation stump. Thesis evaluates the importance of proper care for the amputation stump, which can lead to the improvement of the right shape amputation stump and reduce the time of preparation for dentures.
