Resistance mechanisms in Campylobacter spp

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na mechanismy rezistence u Campylobacter spp. V práci jsou z počátku popsány nejdůležitější druhy rodu Campylobacer spp., jejich výskyt a onemocnění, které způsobují. V další části je popsána základní charakteristika rezistence, rezistence k antibiotikům a metody detekce rezistence mikroorganismů. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na jednotlivé základní mechanismy rezistence, které zahrnují popis změny cílového místa, aktivní odčerpávání látek z buňky, tvorby bakteriálních enzymů, omezení průniku látek do buňky a tvorbu biofilmu. Dále jsou zde zmíněny mechanismy rezistence k různým antibiotickým látkám u Campylobacter spp., výskyt těchto rezistentních druhů a v neposlední řadě je zde zmíněno porovnání rodů Campylobacter a Arcobacter.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis aims to mechanisms of resistence at Campylobacter spp. At the beginning there are introduced the most important species of Campylobacter spp, their presence and sickness caused by them. The next part describes basic characterization of resistance, resistance to antibiotics and methods which are able to detect resistence of microorganisms. The main part of thesis is aimed to individual basic mechanisms of resistence which include a description of shift of target place, active draining of substances from cell, production of bacterial enzyms, restraint of agents penetration to cell and production of biofilm. Then there are noticed mechanisms of resistence to different antibiotic substances of Campylobacter spp, presence of these resistant species and last but not least comparison between Campylobacter and Arcobacter
