Green infrastructure in the context of vehicle propulsion comparison

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o tématu zelené infrastruktury v kontextu srovnání vozidel v silniční nákladní dopravě v rámci konkrétních podmínek zadaných smluvním firemním partnerem katedry logistiky FPH VŠE v Praze, firmou PPL. Cílem práce je zjistit ekonomické náklady a změnu ekologického zatížení v silniční nákladní přepravě, za využití alternativních pohonů ve vztahu k zadaným podmínkám provozu. Porovnání je provedeno za pomoci sekundárních dat a simulovaného provozu v horizontu několika let skrze různé typy pohonných jednotek. Pro srovnání s dieselovým vozidlem jsou vybrány tahače na elektrický, CNG a LNG pohon. V průběhu této práce jsou na základě komplexně analyzovaných kilometrových sazeb, a provozní hmotnosti kalkulovány celkové náklady jednotlivých vozidel. Pomocí nich následně probíhá srovnání nákladů za daný počet ujetých kilometrů. Hodnoty ekologického zatížení jsou vypočteny obdobnou simulací k dané relaci za pomoci sekundárních dat. Práce dospěla k závěru, že pro společnost PPL není z ekonomických důvodů vhodný čas pro investici do alternativních pohonů ve vztahu k dané relaci, a to i přes nižší vykazované emise CO2 zvažovaných alternativních vozidel.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the topic of green infrastructure in the context of comparison of vehicles in road freight transport under specific conditions set by the contractual corporate partner of the Department of Logistics, Faculty of Business Administration of the Prague University of Economics and Business, the company PPL. The aim of the thesis is to determine the economic costs and the change of enviromental load in road freight transport using alternative drive units in relation to the specified operating conditions. The comparison is based on secondary data and simulated operation over several years through different types of drive units. Electric, CNG and LNG vehicles are selected for comparison with diesel vehicle. In the course of this work, the total costs of individual vehicles are calculated on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of mileage rates and operating weight. These are then used to compare the costs for a given number of kilometres travelled. The enviromental load values are calculated by a similar simulation to the given session using secondary data. The thesis concludes that it is not a good time for PPL to invest in alternative drives for economic reasons in relation to the given session, despite the lower reported CO2 emissions of the alternative vehicles under consideration.
