Pricing model in IT shared services unit

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na stanovení transferových cen informatických služeb mezi spojenými osobami.Cílem práce je vytvoření pricingového modelu IT shared services unit, jehož výstupy je možné použít jako transferové ceny a jako podklad pro řízení podnikové informatiky.V rámci teoretické části práce je věnován prostor obecným souvislostem podnikové informatiky a ostatních podnikových činností. Jsou zde definovány výstupy podnikové informatiky a způsoby jejich zajištění. Dále se teoretická část práce zabývá legislativními a jinými regulacemi obchodování mezi spojenými osobami. Na základě těchto regulí je vybrána metoda vhodná pro naceňování informatických služeb. Významnou částí práce je kapitola zabývající se kalkulacemi a kalkulačním systémem.Hlavní část práce se zabývá návrhem pricingového modelu IT shared services unit. V modelu jsou uvedeny návody, metody a principy, jak při stanovení transferových cen postupovat. Mezi řešené oblasti patří vymezení předmětů kalkulace, způsob sledování nákladů a metody alokace a přiřazování nákladů. Při navrhování modelu je rovněž kladen důraz na využití kalkulací při řízení společnosti a skupin společností.V aplikační části práce je navržený pricingový model porovnán s modelem, který je v praxi používán a jehož výstupy jsou správcem daně považovány za transferové ceny odpovídající principu tržního odstupu. Porovnáním došlo k ověření, že navržený model je možné v praxi využít a že plní legislativní požadavky kladené na obchodování mezi spojenými osobami.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis is focused on determining transfer pricing of information services in controlled environment. The aim of this thesis is to design a pricing model of IT shared services unit, the outputs of which can serve as basis for transfer pricesing and for management of business informatics.Within a theoretical part of the thesis, a general relationship between business informatics and other business activities are reviewed. There are defined outputs of business informatics and manners of their provisioning. The theoretical part deals also with legal and other regulations in controlled environment. Based on these rules, the method suitable for pricing of information services was selected. Important part of this thesis is a chapter, which deals with calculations and calculation system.The main part of the thesis deals with IT shared services pricing model design. The design contains instructions, methods and principles how to determine transfer prices. Areas which are covered here include definition of calculation subjects, the method of cost accounting and the method of cost allocation and assignment. During designing of the model, utilization of this model for management of company and group of companies’ purposes was taken into emphasis.In the application part, the designed pricing model is compared to a model which is used in real practice, its outputs were evaluated by tax administrator and its outputs are considered to be transfer prices consistent with the arm's length principle. By comparison it is proved, that the model designed in this diploma thesis is able to be used in real business conditions and that it keeps legal regulations in controlled environment.
