Sustainable transport in cities and regions

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku udržitelné dopravy ve městech a regionech. Její součástí je představení jednotlivých druhů dopravy, vysvětlení základních pojmů z oblasti multimodální dopravy, ale i strategických dokumentů na evropské a národní úrovni, které mají přispívat k naplnění konceptu udržitelné dopravy. Práce je dále zaměřena na analýzu současných problémů v dopravě ve městě Kolín. V poslední části jsou navržena opatření vedoucí k rozvoji konceptu udržitelné dopravy v daném městě.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of sustainable transport in cities and regions. It includes an introduction to individual types of transport, an explanation of basic terms in the multimodal transport, as well as strategic documents at the European and national level, which are supposed to contribute to the fulfillment of the concept of sustainable transport. The thesis is further focused on the analysis of current problems in transport in the city Kolín. In the last part of the thesis, measures leading to the development of the concept of sustainable transport in the given city are proposed.
