John Maynard Keynes -Life and Work

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o životě a díle jednoho z nejslavnějších a nejvlivnějších ekonomů 20. století. První část práce je zaměřena na život Johna Maynarda Keynese, další kapitoly pojednávají o jednotlivých literárních dílech a ekonomických teoriích, stručně popisují jejich obsah a hlavní myšlenky, a dále pak vysvětluji Keynesův význam a přínos pro současné i následující generace. V závěru práce se pokouším o obecné shrnutí významu a vlivu, kterým měl John Maynard Keynes svou účastí na veřejném hospodářském životě, inovacemi makroekonomických teorií a svým ostatním ekonomickým působením, v neposlední řadě také z pohledu současné hospodářské situace.

Abstract:

This work is focused on the life and work of one of the most famous and influential economists of the 20th century. The first part of this paper describes the life of John Maynard Keynes. In the following chapters, the most important Keynes‘s works and economic theories are mentioned, briefly covering their main ideas, explaining the Keynes‘s significance and importance for present and future generations. At the end of this paper, Keynes‘s impact and his activity in day-to-day economy is presented, and also his innovative approach to macroeconomic theories and his other works in the field of economy, even from the perspective of the present global economic situation.
