Abstract:

Práce se zabývá chudobou z pohledu sociální práce a teologie. Chudoba nemusí být nutně jen negativní jev, který ničí lidské životy. Lze na ni nahlížet i z pozitivního hlediska, a to zejména ve spojitosti s duchovním životem. Práce se zaměřuje na vybrané pasáže Bible týkající se chudoby a popisuje praktické ukázky toho, jak některé biblické odkazy fungují dodnes. Poslední část práce se zabývá historií církve v péči o chudé a vyjmenovává nejvýznamnější organizace v České republice. Současný postoj katolické církve k chudobě je popisován dle textů papeže Františka, který má blízko k chudým a vyloučeným a klade důraz na otevřenost církve pro všechny.

Abstract:

The work deals with poverty from the perspective of social work and theology. Poverty is not necessarily just a negative phenomenon that destroys people's lives. It can also be viewed from a positive point of view, especially in connection with spiritual life. The work focuses on selected passages of the Bible related to poverty and describes practical examples of how some biblical references still work today. The last part of the work deals with the history of the church in caring for the poor and lists the most important organizations in the Czech Republic. The current attitude of the Catholic Church towards poverty is described according to the texts of Pope Francis, who is close to the poor and excluded and emphasizes the openness of the Church to all.
