Contract management in a banking institution

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je identifikovat nejvhodnější strategii roll-outu IT řešení contract managementu nasazeného v oddělení nákupu do dalších oddělení v bance. Potřeba rozšíření contract managementu do dalších útvarů napříč bankovní institucí vyvstává především z důvodu dosavadní úspěšnosti popisovaného řešení na procesy nákupu, ale i dalších faktorů které nepochybně procesy v bankovnictví ovlivňují, jako je například sdílení pracovního stolu (desk-sharing), takzvaná korona-krize, digitalizace, ekologizace procesů (paperless), tlak na efektivitu a s tím úzce spojená automatizace. Teoretickou části práce je obecně popsána problematika contract managementu, jak je ovlivňován legislativou v České republice a Evropské unii, jaké jsou hlavní přínosy a možnosti obdobného řešení. V praktické části práce je vymezen problém pro konkrétní společnost působící v bankovnictví v České republice. Následně jsou identifikovány strategie roll-outu IT řešení na základě literární rešerše. Ty jsou následně konzultovány s aplikačními a procesními manažery. Na základě dotazníkového šetření je následně doporučena nejvhodnější strategie roll-outu IT řešení contract managementu nasazeného v bance do dalších oddělení v bance.

Abstract:

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to identify the most suitable strategy for the roll-out of the IT solution for contract management deployed in the procurement department to other departments in the bank. The need to spread contract management to other departments across the banking institution arises mainly due to the success of the described solution to the procurement processes, but also other factors that undoubtedly affect banking processes, such as desk-sharing, the so-called corona crisis, digitization, and greening of processes (paper-less), increasing pressure on efficiency and closely related automation. The theoretical part of the thesis generally describes the issue of contract management, how it is influenced by legislation in the Czech Republic and the European Union, what are the main benefits and possibilities of a similar solution. The practical part of the thesis defines the problem for a specific corporation operating in the banking domain in the Czech Republic. Afterwards, the strategies of the roll-out of an IT solution are identified based on the literature review. Strategies are then consulted with application and process managers. Based on the questionnaire survey, the most appropriate strategy for the roll-out of an existing IT contract management solution is recommended.
