Missed Nursing Care - Review Study

Abstract:

Cílem přehledové bakalářské práce bylo zmapovat současný stav vědění v oblasti chybějící ošetřovatelské péče, přispět k porozumění problematiky poskytnutím analýzy a syntézy výsledků publikovaných výzkumných studií. Studie byly vyhledány systematickou rešeršní strategií za užití elektronických databází CINAHL Plus with Full Text, MEDLINE complete, EBSCO Academic Search Complete, Science Direct. Tříděním dle struktury PRISMA byly po zhodnocení relevance vybrány dokumenty reflektující zkoumanou problematiku. Extrakce a syntéza dat proběhla na základě stanovených výzkumných otázek. Chybějící péče je významný problém v akutních lůžkových zařízeních s mezinárodním výskytem. Neposkytnutí péče v plném nebo částečném rozsahu znamená neuspokojení celého spektra potřeb pacientů, což vede k jejich závažným negativním následkům a odráží se na psychickém rozpoložení ošetřujícího personálu. Ukazuje se, že rozhodovacími procesy sestry na všech úrovních organizačních struktur zdravotnických zařízení může být snížen dopad nepříznivých faktorů pracovního prostředí, které jsou hlavní příčinou vzniku chybějící péče. Výsledky přehledové práce lze využít jako informační materiál a jako podnět k otevřené diskusi o každodenní realitě chybějící péče v našich podmínkách. Bakalářská práce obsahuje 54 stran textu a 78139 znaků.

Abstract:

The aim of the overview bachelor thesis was to map the current state of knowledge in the area of missed nursing care, to contribute to understanding the issue by providing analysis and synthesis of the results of published research studies. The studies were sought-after by a systematic search strategy by using the electronic databases like CINAHL Plus with Full Text, MEDLINE complete, EBSCO Academic Search Complete and Science Direct. By sorting according to the PRISMA structure the documents reflecting the examined issue were selected after assessment of relevance. Data extraction and synthesis took place on the basis of designated research questions. Missing care is a significant problem in acute inpatient facilities with an international occurrence. Failure to provide the care in a full or partial extent means unsatisfying the full range of patients' needs, leading to their serious adverse consequences and is reflected on the psychological state of mind of the nursing staff. It turns out that through the decision-making processes of a nurse at all levels of the organizational structures of healthcare facilities can be reduced the impact of adverse working environment factors that are the main cause of occurrence of the missed of care. The results of the overview thesis can be used as information material and as an incentive to an open discussion about the everyday reality of missed care in our conditions. The bachelor thesis contains 54 pages of text and 78139 characters.
