A Digital Map of Wheelchair-accessible Places for the City of Uherkské Hradiště

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na tvorbu digitální mapy bezbariérového přístupu pro město Uherské Hradiště. Teoretická část práce obsahuje rešerši bezbariérových map, které již existují, dále pak stanovení uživatelských požadavků na mapu, způsob sběru informací o umístění bezbariérových míst, výběr vhodného mapového aplikačního rozhraní a popis redakčního systému WordPress. V praktické části práce čtenář nalezne informace o způsobu implementace webové aplikace mapy, srovnání vybraných webhostingů následováno výběrem nejvhodnějšího z nich, způsob tvorby tištěné verze mapy, a také průběh testovacího provozu mapy zahrnující zpětnou vazbu od uživatelů, kteří ji v budoucnu využijí. Práce v podstatě poskytuje podrobný návod na vytvoření bezbariérové mapy prostřednictvím redakčního systému WordPress a webového hostingu Endrora.

Abstract:

The focus of my bachelor thesis is to create a digital map of wheelchair-accessible places for the city of Uherské Hradiště. The theoretical part of the thesis consists of a survey of barrier-free maps that already exist, a determination of the user requirements for the map, a way of gathering information on location of barrier-free places, a selection of a suitable map application interface and a description of the WordPress content management system. In the practical part of the thesis, the reader can find the information on how to implement a web application of the map, a comparison of webhosting products followed by the selection of the most appropriate one, the method for creating a printable version of the map and also a process of the operational testing of the map, including feedback from the users who are to use the map in the future. The thesis essentially provides detailed instructions for creating a barrier-free map by means of the WordPress content management system and Endrora webhosting.
