Homesharing as Volunteer Community Assistance in the Care of Persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem komunitní péče homesharing u osob s poruchami autistického spektra, s akcentem na osoby dětského věku. Je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část zahrnuje tři kapitoly, věnované vymezení a typologii poruch autistického spektra, jejich etiologii a diagnostice, specifikům vzdělávání, výchovy a péče o děti s poruchami autistického spektra. Dále definuje systém sociální péče, který poskytuje oporu osobám s poruchami autistického spektra a popis principu fungování komunitní péče homesharing, její historii a adaptaci v tuzemském prostředí. Empirická část zahrnuje výzkum, jež má za cíl osvětlit princip fungování komunitní péče homesharing v České republice. Byl pro něj zvolen kvalitativní přístup a jako metoda sběru dat polostrukturovaný rozhovor, přičemž výzkumný soubor tvoří sedm hostitelů, poskytujících komunitní péči homesharing dětem s poruchami autistického spektra. Následuje analýza dat, vyhodnocení, interpretace získaných poznatků a závěrečné shrnutí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of community care in homesharing for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, with a focus on children. It is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part includes three chapters dedicated to defining and typifying autism spectrum disorders, their etiology and diagnosis, specifics of education, upbringing, and care for children with autism spectrum disorders. It also defines the system of social care that provides support to individuals with autism spectrum disorders and describes the functioning principles of homesharing community care, its history, and adaptation in the domestic environment. The empirical part includes research aimed at elucidating the functioning principles of homesharing community care in the Czech Republic. A qualitative approach was chosen for the research, with semi-structured interviews used as the data collection method, involving a sample of seven hosts providing homesharing community care to children with autism spectrum disorders. This is followed by data analysis, evaluation, interpretation of findings, and a final summary.
