Female Characters in Liaisons dangereuses by Choderlos de Laclos.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the female characters in a libertarian novel Liaisons Dangereuses by Ch. de Laclos written in 1782. The theoretical part focuses on life of the author, his writings, period he lived in, and justifies the choice of a narrative style which shows to be strategic. The question of the position of the woman in the society is integral to the french romance of the 18.century. For this reason, the practical part pays attention to the analysis of the female characters from the point of view of their different social status, distinctive manner of speech and their specific functions in the plot.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje ženským postavám v libertinském románu Nebezpečné známosti od Choderlose de Laclose z roku 1782. Teoretická část pojednává o životě autora, jeho díle, době, ve které žil a zdůvodňuje výběr strategického stylu narace. Postavení ženy ve společnosti je nedílnou součástí francouzského románu 18. století. Praktická část se z toho důvodu věnuje analýzám ženských postav z pohledu jejich odlišného společenského postavení, osobitého stylu mluvy a jejich specifické funkce v příběhu.
