Abstract:

Cílem mé absolventské práce bylo zjistit, jak osoby s mentálním postižením vnímají svoji autonomii, a jak se cítí být respektovány svým okolím. V teoretické části stručně popisuji mentální postižení, pojmy autonomie a respekt, a to, jak jsou uplatňovány u osob s mentálním postižením. K naplnění cíle práce používám kvalitativní výzkum a jeho metodu polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Respondenty jsou osoby s lehkým až středně těžkým mentálním postižením. Z výsledků vyplynulo, že lidé s mentálním postižením rozumějí obsahu pojmů autonomie a respekt. Jsou si vědomi toho, že jejich autonomie není v důsledku jejich postižení úplná, zvláště v některých oblastech. Důležitým zjištěním je, že všichni respondenti v rámci rozhovoru o autonomii a respektu zmiňují své vize budoucnosti a částečně i možnosti naplnění těchto vizí.

Abstract:

The goal of this graduation paper is to discover, how people with learning disabilities perceive their autonomy and how they are respected. The theoretical part of this paper explains learning disabilities, autonomy and respect in general and also what autonomy and respect mean in the case of people with learning disabilities. To reach the goal, qualitative research was used. People with mild or moderate learning disabilities were respondents in this research. Results of this research present, that people with learning disabilities can understand what autonomy and respect means for them. They are aware that their needs of autonomy and respect are not fully fulfilled because of their disability, especially in some areas of their life. In the addition, respondents described their future visions and some ways how to achieve their future goals.
