Decision-making process of the Faculty of Business Administration students in the selection of their future university

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se primárně zabývá rozhodovacím procesem při výběru budoucí vysoké školy. Vzhledem ke stále klesajícím počtu studentů, kteří se na Fakultu podnikohospodářskou hlásí, je nutné zjistit, jak se potenciální studenti rozhodují. Primárním cílem je tedy zanalyzovat a odkrýt rozhodovací proces studentů Fakulty podnikohospodářské a jejich konkurentů, při jejich výběru vysoké školy. Dalšími cíli je zmapovaní spokojenosti aktuálních studentů 1. ročníku bakalářského stupně studia a manažerská doporučení Fakultě podnikohospodářské, která povedou k vylepšení komunikace směrem ke potenciálním studentům. Samotný výzkum měl kvalitativní i kvantitativní charakter. V první fází probíhaly hloubkové individuální rozhovory s respondenty, na jejichž základě vznikl dotazník pro druhou, kvantitativní, fázi výzkumu. Zde již bylo osloveno větší množství studentů. Klíčové zjištění této diplomové práce je odkrytí rozhodovacího procesu studentů, popis procesu do jednotlivých fází, zjištění motivace student ke studiu, důležité aspekty jejich rozhodování, zdroje hledání informací a největší influenceři při jejich výběru.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals primarily with the decision-making process in the selection of the future university. Because of ever-decreasing number of students reporting to the Faculty of Business Administration, it is necessary to find out how the potential students make their decisions. The primary goal is to analyze and uncover the decision-making process of the students of the Faculty of Business Administration and their competitors in their selection of a future university. Other goals are to map the satisfaction of current students 1st year of bachelor's degree and managerial recommendations for the Faculty of Business Administration, which will lead to improvement of communication towards potential students. The research itself was qualitative and quantitative. In the first phase of research, there were in-depth individual interviews with respondents. In the second phase more respondents were covered by a questionnaire .The key finding of this thesis is uncovering the decision-making process of students, describing the process into individual phases, finding out the motivation of the student to study university, important aspects of their decision-making, sources of finding information and the influencers in their selection.
