Analysis of the Flow of Packaging Material in the Selected Company

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu, zhodnocení a na návrh zlepšení materiálového toku příbalového materiálu, jednoho z nejvýznamnějších logistických toků, ve vybrané společnosti. Cílem práce je na základě analýzy současného stavu toku příbalového materiálu ve vybrané společnosti navrhnout takové opatření, kterým by byl zkrácen materiálový tok příbalového materiálu o 75 %, a toto opatření ověřit s využitím softwaru. K dosažení cíle práce jsou pro analýzu a vyhodnocení současného toku příbalového materiálu využity metody průmyslového inženýrství. Pro analýzu toku příbalového materiálu je využita procesní analýza a layout sloužící k zaznačení trasy a směru toku. Data související s počtem transportů a vzdálenostmi jsou vyhodnocena pomocí Distance-Intensity grafu, zbylá získaná data o druhu přepravy a času činností jsou vyhodnocena prostřednictvím výsečových grafů. Na základě vyhodnocení dat je doporučeno přestěhování výrobního zařízení, zavedení řízení zásob materiálu na pracovišti a změna zásobovací filozofie montážních linek. S využitím softwaru je zjištěno, že pomocí navrhovaných opatření je dosahováno cíle práce.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's Thesis focuses on the analysis, evaluation and proposal for improving the flow of packaging material, one of the most important logistics flows, in the selected company. The goal of the Thesis is, based on the analysis of the current state of the packaging material flow in the selected company, to propose measures that would shorten the flow of packaging material by 75 %, and to verify this measure with the use of software. To achieve this goal, industrial engineering methods are used to analyze and evaluate the current flow of packaging material. To analyze the flow of packaging material, a process analysis is used, as well as a layout is used to mark the route and direction of the flow. Data related to the number of transports and distances are evaluated using the Distance-Intensity graph. The rest of the obtained data on the type of transport and the time of activities are evaluated using pie charts. Based on the evaluation of the data, it is recommended to relocate the production equipment, introduce material inventory control at the workplace and changing the supply philosophy of the assembly lines. With the use of the software, it is found that the goal of the Thesis is achieved with the help of the proposed measures.
