3D printers and the costs associated with their operation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na téma 3D tiskáren a nákladů spojených s využitím dané technologie. Toto téma je otevřeno celkovým shrnutím pojetí 3D tisku, jeho historií, základním rozdělením technologií 3D tisku a také možnostmi využití technologie 3D tisku v různých oblastech. Dalším podtématem práce jsou faktory ovlivňující náklady na provoz 3D tiskáren, kam se řadí shrnutí využívaných materiálů, téma vytváření 3D modelů vhodných pro 3D tisk a další dílčí faktory ovlivňující náklady. Kapitola Vlastní práce je zaměřena na vymezení vybraných 3D tiskáren a 3D modelu, ale také na vymezení přesných faktorů týkajících se daného 3D tisku, jejich ekonomická stránka a samotný výpočet nákladů spojených s 3D tiskem. Bakalářská práce je zakončena shrnutím a porovnáním výsledků měření a doporučením v oblasti 3D tisku v návaznosti na zkoumané technologie 3D tisku.

Abstract:

Bachelor’s thesis is focused on 3D printing and costs associated with its operation and usage. This topic is introduced by summary of the conception of 3D printing, its history, defining basic types of 3D printing technologies and by possibilities of the usage of the 3D technology. Next subsection is about the factors influencing the costs of 3D printing that are directly contributing to the total amount of costs. In those factors there can be found for example materials used for different types of 3D printing technologies, possibilities of 3D modelling and other partial factors. Practical part of this bachelor’s thesis is focused on the process of choosing types of 3D printers and 3D model used for the 3D printing, demarcation of precise factors contributing to the costs of 3D printing of a chosen 3D model, economical side of said factors and the exact cost calculation itself. Conclusion of this thesis contains summary of the whole 3D printing, its costs, comparisons of chosen 3D printers and finally recommendation based on the results.
