Utilization of Creative Potential and Support of Innovation in the Czech Business Environment

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na koncept inovací ve vztahu k podnikatelské činnosti, a to zejména v českém tržním prostředí. Teoretická část je věnována obecné charakterizaci inovací, invenčního potenciálu a inovační činnosti podniku, včetně historického i současného pojetí dané problematiky. V praktické části je pak představen výběr tuzemských i zahraničních subjektů minulosti i současnosti, na kterých je ilustrována důležitost inovační činnosti spolu s důsledky jejího nedostatku či chybné implementace a náhled do důležité role firemní kultury v inovačním procesu. Součástí praktické části je dále využití mezinárodní komparace k nastínění konkrétních možností pro vylepšení stávajícího systému finanční podpory výzkumu a vývoje v České republice.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s thesis is focused on the concept of innovation in relation to business, and that especially in the Czech market environment. The theoretical part is dedicated to a general characterization of innovation, creative potential and the innovation function of a business from both a historical and contemporary standpoint. The practical part then introduces a selection of local and foreign business entities, past and present, which bring to light the importance of a business’s innovation function, together with the consequences of its absence or incorrect implementation, followed by a brief glance into the important role played by organizational culture in the innovation process. International comparison is also made use of to identify specific opportunities for the improvement of the current system of financial support for research and development in the Czech Republic.
