The Spanish Anthroponyms with Special Atention to the First Names

Abstract:

This work focuses on the first names in Spain. In the theoretic part of the work there is presented onomastics, it means a science that includes anthroponyms, which are discussed in this work more in details. Besides the first names there are also mentioned the hypocoristics and surnames, especially those made from the first names. The practical part concerns on the origin of the most common Spanish names and confronts the names from the twenties with contemporary names.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na křestní jména ve Španělsku. V teoretické části je představena onomastika, tedy věda, do které patří i antroponyma, kterými se práce zabývá více dopodrobna. Kromě křestních jmen se zmiňují i hypokoristika a příjmení, hlavně ta, která z křestních jmen vznikla. V praktické části se zkoumá původ nejčastějších španělských jmen a porovnávají se jména z dvacátých let minulého století se jmény z dnešní doby.
