Abstract:

Práce na téma „Udržitelný model fungování kulturního centra“ nabízí vhled do problematiky složitého komplexu provozování lokálních kulturních zařízení. Co v současnosti znamená pojem kulturní dům nebo kulturní centrum a jaká je jeho úloha v životě obce a jejích obyvatel? Jaká kulturní centra vlastně v současné době máme a co je pro jejich činnost důležité? V České republice prozatím nejsou dostupné výsledky výzkumu v domácím prostředí, jenž se týká dané problematiky, a není k dispozici ani příslušná literatura. Jako zdroj informací je tedy možné využít pouze zahraničních publikací, výstupů zahraničních výzkumných projektů a dostupných statistických údajů. Analýza těchto zdrojů je spojena s výsledky získanými dotazníkovým šetřením, pozorováním a analýzou dokumentů týkajících se vybraných konkrétních organizací. Objevuje se mnoho témat, která lze dále rozvíjet a zkoumat. Práce má být praktickou inspirací aktuálním i potenciálním provozovatelům kulturních zařízení, občanům a také politikům či úředníkům na různých úrovních samosprávy a státní správy, má naznačit široké možnosti rozvoje v oblasti místní kultury a přispívat tím ke zlepšování kvality života, budování lokálního patriotismu a celkovému rozvoji místního prostředí. Výchozím bodem je konstatování, že kulturní centrum je místo, kde se obyvatelé mohou setkat s různými druhy umění pasivně jako publikum, ale také se mohou na aktivitách s kulturním a uměleckým zaměřením sami aktivně podílet. Pro mnohé obyvatele menších míst je to jediná možnost získání osobního emocionálního zážitku ze setkání s kulturou a uměním. Pojmy kulturní dům a kulturní centrum jsou použity ve shodném významu. Pro realizaci kulturních aktivit bylo postaveno mnoho budov v celé Evropě. Mnohé z nich slouží trvale kultuře, ale mnohé již svůj původní účel neplní, v některých případech nejsou využívány vůbec. Zvyšuje se ale také počet objektů, které byly vybudovány k jinému účelu, zejména průmyslovému, a nyní dostávají nové využití právě v oblasti kulturních aktivit. Příklady dobré praxe dokládají široké spektrum možností práce kulturního centra a mohou sloužit jako inspirace pro rozvoj lokálních kulturních a komunitních aktivit.

Abstract:

The work entitled “A Sustainable model of the culture center work” presents an insight into the rather complex issue of running local cultural facilities. What does the term “cultural house” or “cultural centre” actually mean at the moment and what is its role in the life of the municipality and its inhabitants? What cultural centres do we currently have and what is important for their activities? In the Czech Republic, for the time being, the results of research in the domestic environment concerning the given issue are not available, and the relevant literature is lacking either. As a source of information, it is thus possible to lean only on foreign publications, outputs of outlandish research projects and available statistical data. The analysis of these sources is linked to the results obtained by questionnaire survey, observation and analysis of documents related to selected specific organizations. Many quantitative topics arise in the investigation that can be further developed and explored. The work is intended to be a practical inspiration for current and potential operators of cultural facilities, citizens, as well as politicians or officials at various levels of self-government and state administration. It is also aimed at outline broad development possibilities in the area of local culture and thereby contributes to improving the quality of life, building local patriotism and the overall development of the local environment. The starting point of the work is the statement that the cultural centre is a place where residents can encounter different types of art either passively as an audience, or actively by participating in activities with a cultural and artistic focus. For many residents of smaller towns, this is the only chance to get a personal emotional experience of meeting culture and art. The terms cultural centre and cultural house are used interchangeably here. Many buildings were built throughout Europe to host cultural activities. Many of them serve the culture permanently, but many no longer fulfil their original purpose, and in some cases are not used at all. On the other hand, there is an increasing trend in the number of buildings that were once built for a completely different purpose, for example industrial, but today are beginning to be used as centres of cultural life. Examples from good practice point to the existing wide range of possibilities for the work of the cultural centre, which can serve as inspiration for the development of local cultural and community activities.
