Abstract:

Hlavním tématem této práce je analýza a dokumentace souboru hudebních záznamových pásů orchestrionu značky Philipps Paganini model 3 ze sbírek Technického muzea v Brně. Pro tento účel byla vytvořena vlastní metodika a pro vkládání získaných údajů byla vybrána aplikace MS Access, ve které bylo zvoleno přehledné uživatelské prostředí. Takto vytvořená elektronická databáze bude pak poskytnuta pro potřeby muzea a dalším odborníkům zabývajícím se touto problematikou. Práce se též věnuje samotnému orchestrionu Philipps Paganini a jeho výrobci. Další část poté zkoumá historii mechanické hudby a její vliv na společnost. Popisuje také jednotlivé typy automatofonů s větším důrazem na orchestriony a jejich výrobu. Současně se okrajově zabývá fenoménem němého filmu, který s mechanickou hudbou souvisel již od svého vzniku.

Abstract:

The main theme of this work is the analysis and documentation of music rolls from orchestrion brand Philipps Paganini model 3 from Technical museum in Brno collections. For this purpose was created its own methodology and to insert obtained data was selected MS Access application, in which has been created clear user-interface. Thus created an electronic database will then be provided to the museum and other professionals dealing with this issue. The thesis also focuses on the orchestrion Philipps Paganini itself and its producer. The next part of the work examines the history of mechanical music and its influence on the society. Also describes the different types of automatophones with greater emphasis on orchestrions and their production. Concurrently is marginally engaged with the silent film phenomenon, which was associated with the mechanical music since its creation.
