The prevention of delinquency in teen-agers

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Prevence delikvence u dospívající mládeže“ pojednává o mládeži, zaměřuje se na problematickou oblast delikvence dětí a mládeže, její prevencí a možnostmi vzniku delikventního jednání na základě určitých ukazatelů. Tato práce má charakter teoreticko-empirický. Skládá se z úvodu, kde je charakterizováno zaměření práce, z teoretické části, kde jsou definovány základní pojmy, jako je mládež, dospívání a jeho charakteristika, rituály ve vývoji, sociální deviace a její historický vývoj, prevence a její základy, mýty o prevenci, delikvence, kriminalita a související problémy se zaměřením na mládež, volný čas a jeho charakteristika, rozdíly ve využívání volného času a současný stav v jeho využívání. Další díl práce tvoří empirická část, kde je stanoven její cíl a hypotézy, metody, které byly použity při výzkumu, popis zkoumaného vzorku, zmapování sociálních údajů daného regionu a vyhodnocení vlastních dotazníků a rozhovorů. V závěrečné části této práce byly shrnuty získané údaje a navržena doporučení pro preventivní opatření v daném regionu. Diplomová práce je příspěvkem k zamyšlením se nad dospívajícími lidmi, jejich životem a možností smysluplného využití volného času, tak aby došlo k omezení negativních faktorů na jejich vývoj.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis „The prevention of delinquency in teen-agers“ deals with young people, focusing on the problematic area of delinquent behaviour in children and youth, its prevention and the risks of delinquent behaviour development as identified pursuant to certain indicators. The thesis has a theoretical-empirical character. It consists of an introduction characterizing the mission of the thesis, a theoretical part defining the basic notions such as youth, adolescence and its characteristics, development rituals, social deviation and its historical background, prevention and the foundations it dwells on, myths about prevention, delinquency, criminality and related problems with a focus on youth, leisure time and its characteristics, differences in leisure time spending and the current situation as regards leisure time spending. The other part of the thesis is empirical, setting the objective of the thesis and the hypotheses as well as methods used for the research, description of the examined sample, the mapping of social data with respect to the region, and evaluation of the submitted questionnaires and held interviews. The final part of the thesis summarizes the obtained data and suggests recommendations for preventive measures to be taken in the researched region. The diploma thesis contributes to the knowledge enabling better understanding of adolescents, their lives and opportunities they have to spend their leisure time in a meaningful manner so as any negative factors that might affect their development would be reduced.
