Influence of personal values on nursing home staff 's attitudes to care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je prací teoreticko-aplikační. Zaměřuje na hodnotovou orientaci zaměstnanců v pobytových zařízeních pro seniory a její vliv na kvalitu poskytované péče. V teoretické části jsou popsány základní pojmy týkající se hodnot, etiky a péče o seniory. Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat hodnoty zaměstnanců v pobytových službách pro seniory v souvislosti s vlivem, který mají na kvalitu péče o klienty těchto zařízení. Práce vymezuje podstatné související pojmy, jako jsou hodnoty, etika, pobytové služby pro seniory, etický kodex, ageismus, stáří, stárnutí a senior. V práci jsou vyzdviženy také potřeby a hodnoty samotných seniorů. Součástí práce je také návrh dotazníku týkající se této problematiky a vyhodnocení toho, zda je dotazník dostatečně validní a využitelný pro praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is written in a theoretical-application form. It focuses on the value orientation of employees in residential facilities for the elderly and its influence on the quality of care provided. The theoretical part describes basic concepts related to values, ethics and care for the elderly. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to depict the employee values in residential services for the elderly in connection with the influence they have on the quality of care for clients in such facilities. The thesis defines essential related terms such as values, ethics, residential services for the elderly, code of ethics, ageism, old age, aging and senior. The thesis also highlights the needs and values of the seniors themselves. The thesis also proposes a questionnaire related to this issue and evaluates whether the questionnaire is sufficiently valid and usable for practice.
