The linguistic image of the woman in short stories from Zaolzie ( based on the publications of Józef Ondrusz)

Abstract:

This paper explains the linguistic image of the world in the Polish and worldwide linguistic. It specifies and describes the characteristics of the linguistic image of the world.The practical part specifies the development of the linguistic image of the woman in the European and Polish culture in linguistic context and the role of stereotypes in the linguistic image of the woman. The study is based on the works of Józef Ondrusz. The lexemes denoting female persons have been analyzed. Furthermore all supernatural representations of the female gender which appear in the texts have been analyzed. The goal of this study was to determine what linguistic image of the woman is created in the Silesian short stories, therefore in some way illustrating how women have been seen by people of past centuries. The result is a set of terms determining women in the text and a set of characteristic attributes for those women.

Abstract:

V diplomové práci byl vysvětlen pojem jazykový obraz světa ve světové a polské lingvistiece. Byly charakterizovány jeho znaky. V praktické části je charakterizován vývoj jazykového obrazu ženy v evropské a polské kultuře. Popsaný je také vzah stereotypu a jazykového obrazu ženy. Výzkum se opíral o sbírky Józefa Ondrusza. Analizované byly příklady, ve kterých byl nalezen lexém označující osoby ženského pohlaví, rovněž nadpřirozené bytosti. Úkolem práce bylo zjistit, jaký jazykový obraz ženy se nachází v lidových povídkách ze Slezska, které do jisté míry odrážejí, jak byla žena vnímáná ve společnosti v minulosti. Výsledkem výzkumu jsou lexémy, kterými byla žena označována a charakteristiky těchto lexémů.
