Between technology and education: educational videos and their role in the contemporary society

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá zmapováním široké oblasti výukových videí, a jejich principy, která jsou ve stále větší míře produkována jak jednotlivci, tak vzdělávacími institucemi, a které mohou plnit celou škálu funkcí od výukových užití, až po experimentální pokusy samotných metod výuky. Součástí práce je i přesah do historie multimediálního vzdělávání, pro zřejmý vývoj, a samotný posun úrovní vzdělávání, za pomocí technologických prostředků. Dále se práce pokusí předložit návrh klasifikace výukových videí dle jejich druhu.

Abstract:

The present thesis maps out a wide range of educational videos and their principles, which are increasingly being produced by individuals as well as by educational institutions and which can fulfil a whole range of purposes from well-established ones to experimental attempts in innovating teaching approaches. The first part of the thesis lays out the history and the development of teaching with the use of audio-visual aids. Furthermore, in the second part, the thesis attempts to propose a classification of educational videos according to chosen criteria.
