The Symptoms of estrogen deficiency and quality of life

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na kvalitu života žen v období klimakteria, kdy se ženy potýkají se symptomy estrogenního deficitu. Teoretická část je věnována terminologii související s menopauzou, jejím symptomům a možnostem léčby. Dále je definován pojem "kvalita života" a možnosti jejího hodnocení s detailním zaměřením na českou verzi standardizovaného dotazníku Menopause Rating Scale. Ve výzkumné části jsou prezentována data, která byla získána pomocí tištěné formy dotazníku Menopause Rating Scale vytvořeného k hodnocení kvality života žen po menopauze. Údaje byly zjišťovány u žen ve věku 4560 let s přítomnými symptomy estrogenního deficitu. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit, v jaké míře se u respondentek vyskytují příznaky estrogenního deficitu a jejich vývoj v čase u vybraného souboru respondentek.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis concentrates on the quality of women´s life in the period of the climacteric change when these women have to cope with the symptoms of the estrogen shortage. The theoretical part is dedicated to the terminology connected to the menopause, its symptoms and treatment possibilities. Moreover, the term "the quality of life" is defined and the possibilities of its evaluation are presented with a detailed focus on the Czech version of the standardized questionnaire Menopause Rating Scale. The practical research part presents the data which were gathered by means of the printed form of the questionnaire Menopause Rating Scale developed to evaluate the quality of women´s life after the menopause. The data were obtained from the questioning the women at the age of 4560 years who suffered from the estrogen shortage syndrome. The research was aimed to find out to what extent the respondents have to deal with the estrogen shortage syndromes and its progress in time concerning the selected group of the respondents.
