The initiation ritual in family upbringing in the 21st century

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Iniciační rituál v rodinné výchově v 21. století“ pojednává o tom, jakým způsobem je dnes možné zařadit iniciační rituál do výchovy chlapců. V teoretické části práce je nejprve charakterizováno období dospívání, poté pojem rituál jako všeobecný pojem a blíže je specifikován význam rituálů v rodinné výchově. Tato část práce je zakončena charakteristikou iniciačního rituálu a podrobnějším popisem provádění iniciačních rituálů v primitivních kulturách, v nejrozšířenějších náboženstvích světa a v naší minulosti. V úvodu empirické části práce je popsána zvolená fenomenologická metoda určená k analýze textů. Jedná se o metodu Meaning Constitution Analysis (MCA). Pomocí této metody jsou dále analyzovány vybrané kategorie z protokolů, získaných z výpovědí dotazovaných respondentů – tří otců a jejich synů, kteří v minulosti iniciační rituál uskutečnili. Závěr tvoří diskuze jak k teoretické, tak i k empirické části práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "The initiation ritual in family upbringing in the 21st century" deals with the possibility of an initiation ritual being integrated into a boys upbringing nowadays. The adolescence characteristic is described first in the theoretical part, next stage - the ritual notion is explained as a general term and the importance of the rituals in the family upbringing is specified further. This part of the thesis is concluded by the initiation ritual characteristics and a more detailed implementation description of the initiation rituals within primitive cultures, in the most world-widespread religions and in our past. A description of the chosen phenomenological method designed to analyze texts is defined in the empirical part introduction. It is the Meaning Constitution Analysis method (MCA). This method is used to analyze selected categories from protocols obtained through respondents testimonies - three fathers and their sons, who had accomplished the initiation ritual in the past. The is formed by both the theoretical and the empirical parts discussions of these thesis.
