The contribution of internal audit for the company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Přínos interního auditu pro podnik” zhodnocuje provedení interního auditu ve vybrané dceřiné společnosti Skupiny ČEZ. V teoretické části diplomové práce popisuji historii a vývoj interního auditu, rozdíly interního a externího auditu, zmiňuji standardy pro profesionální praxi interního auditu, popisuji vztah interního auditu k procesu řízení rizik a představuji postup při provádění interního auditu. Praktickou částí diplomové práce se zaměřuji na charakteristiku Skupiny ČEZ a způsob provádění interního auditu ve Skupině. Na základě vypracování fiktivního případu interního auditu provedeného ve společnosti ČEZ Správa majetku, s.r.o., popisuji způsob realizace celé auditní zakázky včetně postupu při zpracování závěrečné zprávy. Prezentuji zde výsledky vyplývající z auditního šetření a předkládám návrhy zjištění a následná doporučení.

Abstract:

Thesis "Contribution of internal audit for the company" assesses the internal audit in selected subsidiaries of CEZ Group. In the theoretical part of the thesis describe the history and development of internal audit, the differences of internal and external audit, I refer here to the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing, describe the relationship of the internal audit to the risk management process and introduce how to perform an internal audit. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the characteristics of CEZ Group and the performance of internal audit in the Group. Based on the elaboration of a fictitious case of internal audit in the company CEZ Asset Management Ltd., I describe the way of realization the whole audit engagement, including the procedure for processing the final report. I present here the results of an investigation arising from the audit findings and present proposals and subsequent recommendations.
