Milotice Estate in Years 1916 - 1945

Abstract:

Období mezi lety 1916 – 1945 přineslo velké množství změn v oblasti politické, sociální i národnostní. Změnami prošla také šlechta, která byla postavena před řadu rozhodnutí. Patřilo mezi ně např. to, jestli se přihlásí k české či rakouské státní příslušnosti. Dalšími mezníky ve vývoji šlechty a především šlechtických velkostatků byly pozemková reforma, světová hospodářská krize a druhá světová válka. Na tyto okolnosti se zaměřuji ve své práci, popisuji je na příkladu milotického velkostatku, který patřil JUDr. Ladislavovi Seilern – Aspang. Proto se zajímám také o dějiny tohoto rodu s přihlédnutím k jejich působení v obci Milotice.

Abstract:

The period between 1916 and 1945 had brought a huge number of changes in political, social and national field. The nobility, which had undergone a lot of changes too, had to make many decisions, for example to declare whetevert they belong to Austrian or Czech nationality. The other remarcable events in the development of nobility and estates were the land reform, the economic depression and the world war two. I would like to devote to those issues in my essay. As an example I describe the history of Milotice estate, which was the possession of JUDr. Ladislav Seilern – Aspang, and furthermore the history of Seilern - Aspang family and its life in Milotice village.
