Modern Techniques of Land Cover Mapping.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá hodnocením dostupných technologií pro přesné zjišťování změn „Land Cover“. Důraz je kladen na metody použitelné s vyšší přesností, které nejsou závislé na subdodavateli. V teoretické části je zmíněna metoda laserového skenování, mapování pomocí georadaru a bezpilotních letounů. Vybrané metody byly prakticky ověřeny na území dvou ledovců v centrální části souostroví Svalbard. Diplomová práce hodnotí výsledky měření totální stanice a diferenční GPS, informace vytěžené z vertikálních leteckých snímků a topografické mapy. Změny povrchu ledovců jsou hodnoceny v rozmezí let 1960 až 2013 a prezentovány formou mapové kompozice. Za sledované období byl prokázán ústup čela ledovce Bertilbreen o 1090 m (19,1 %) a jeho rozloha se zmenšila o 24,8 %. U ledovce Elsabreen ustoupilo čelo o 190 m (22,5 %) a rozloha se zmenšila o 56,1 %. Mezi roky 1990 a 2013 se zmenšila mocnost ledovce Bertilbreen o 60 m a ledovce Elsabreen o 50 m.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the evaluation of available technologies for accurate detection of Land Cover changes. Emphasis is placed on the methods with higher accuracy, which are not dependent on subcontractors. In theoretical part is mentioned a method of laser scanning, mapping using ground penetrating radar and unmanned aerial vehicles. Selected methods have been practically verified on the two glaciers in the central part of Svalbard. This thesis evaluates the results of measuring the total station and differential GPS, information extracted from vertical aerial images and topographic maps. Changes of the glaciers surface are evaluated between the years 1960 - 2013 and presented as map composition. We demonstrated the retreat of the glacier Bertilbreen by 1090 m (19.1 %) and its area was reduced by 24.8 %. Front of the glacier Elsabreen was retreated by 190 m (22.5 %) and its area was reduced by 56.1 %. Between 1990 and 2013 the thickness of the glacier Bertilbreen was reduced by 60 m and the thickness of the glacier Elsabreen by 50 m.
