A comparison of the status and trends in air quality in Ústí nad Labem and Litoměřice - environmental and health aspects

Abstract:

Práce je rozdělena na část metodickou a výsledkovou. V první části práce se věnuji problematice znečištění ovzduší, zdrojům a účinkům znečišťujících látek na životní prostředí a lidské zdraví. V navazující, druhé části, je vyhodnocen stav ovzduší v obou sledovaných městech, v Ústí nad Labem a v Litoměřicích v letech 2004 2014. V této části práce také blíže specifikuji hlavní producenty emisí spolu s množstvím vypouštěných emisí znečišťujících látek do ovzduší a hodnotím vliv dopravy na kvalitu ovzduší v obou městech. Obsahem výsledkové části je analýza a srovnání jednotlivých konkrétních ukazatelů zdravotního stavu v Ústeckém kraji s republikovým průměrem a okresy Ústí nad Labem a Litoměřice a také porovnání shodného či odlišného trendu ve vývoji úmrtnosti. Nejdůležitější částí této práce je zkoumání vlivu znečištění ovzduší reprezentovaného koncentrací suspendovaných částic frakce PM10, oxidu dusičitého a troposférického ozónu na roční míru úmrtnosti na všechny diagnózy a podle vybraných příčin úmrtí - na onemocnění kardiovaskulární, dýchací cest a novotvary v okresech Ústí nad Labem a Litoměřice.

Abstract:

The work is divided into two parts: methodological part and results overview. First part of the work is devoted to the problems of air pollution, sources and effects of pollutants on the environmental and human health. The second part is about to evaluate the State of the air in both cities: Ústí nad Labem and Litoměřice during the period 2004 2014. This part of the thesis also identify the major emitters in both cities, along with the quantity of discharged pollutant emissions into the atmosphere. Further the impact of transport on air quality in both cities is rated. The goal of the results overview section is the analysis of specific indicators of health status in the region of Ústí nad Labem in comparison with country specific diameter (Ústí nad Labem, Litoměřice and Czech Republic), further it contains also comparison of the trends in the evolution of mortality. The most important part of this work is to explore the impact of air pollution represented by concetration of suspended particulates fraction PM10, nitrogen dioxide and troposphere ozone on the annual death rate for all diagnosis and according to selected causes of death a disease of the cardiovascular, respiratory paths and neoplasms in the region of Ústí nad Labem and Litoměřice.
