Gall midges (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae) in selected localities of the Opava and Bruntál regions, and their usage in pedagogical practise

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá průzkumem území s odlišnými klimatickými podmínkami. Cílem bylo ověřit, zda se ve zkoumaných lokalitách vyskytují druhy čeledi Cecidomyiidae, se zaměřením na hálkotvorné druhy podčeledi Cecidomyiinae. Do výzkumu byly zahrnuty oblasti Přírodní rezervace Hvozdnice a Přírodní památka Otická sopka na Opavsku a obec Rudná pod Pradědem na rozhraní s CHKO Jeseníky na Bruntálsku. V diplomové práci jsou shrnuty informace o morfologii a vývoji bejlomorek a charakteristice hálek. Jsou zde dále popsány a porovnány všechny nálezy, srovnána četnost a druhová rozmanitost na jednotlivých lokalitách. Výzkum probíhal od května 2020 do září 2020. V tomto období bylo nalezeno 40 druhů bejlomorek. Zajímavým byl nález larvy bejlomorky Dasineura papaveris, dále byla nalezena hálka bejlomorky Rabdophaga heterobia, ve zkoumané lokalitě málo obvyklá a druh Contarinia coryli, který je zařazen k ohroženým druhům v Červeném seznamu bezobratlých České republiky.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the survey of areas with different climatic conditions. The aim was to verify whether species of the family Cecidomyiidae occur in the investigated localities, with the focus on gall-inducing species of the subfamily Cecidomyiinae. The research included the areas of the Nature Reserve Hvozdnice and Nature Monument Otická sopka in the Opava region and the village of Rudná pod Pradědem on the border with CHKO Jeseníky in the Bruntál region. The master thesis summarizes information about the morphology and development of gall midges and characteristics of galls. All findings are further described and compared, the frequency and species diversity in individual localities are compared. The research was conducted from May 2020 to September 2020. During this period, 40 species of gall midges were found. The finding of the larva Dasineura papaveris was also interesting, as well as the gall of the gall midges Rabdophaga heterobia, uncommon in the investigated locality, and the species Contarinia coryli, which is included in the Red list of threatend species in the Czech Republic.
