Surface Modification of Oriented Polymeric Foils

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce popisuje povrchové vlastnosti polymerních materiálů a některé metody využívané pro měření těchto vlastností. Dále jsou v práci popisovány technologie výroby polymerních folií a technologie úpravy jejich povrchu. Experimentální část je zaměřena na modifikaci povrchu dvou typů BOPET folií pomocí vodných disperzí a na charakteristiku povrchu čistých i nánosovaných folií. Důležitou částí experimentů je také předúprava po-vrchu nízkoteplotním plazmatem a s ní související měření povrchových energií pomocí statických úhlů smáčení metodou sedící kapky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis describes the surface properties of polymeric materials and some of the methods used to measurement these properties. The thesis also described technologies for making polymer films and their surface treatment technology. The experimental part focuses on surface modification of the two types of BOPET film using the aqueous dispersions and on further characteristics of virgin and treated foils. An important part of the experiments is also surface treatment by the low temperature plasma and the associated measurement of surface energy by the means of static contact angle sessile drop method.
