Tato práce se zabývá analýzou feministických názorů britské spisovatlky přelomu osmnáctého a devatenáctého století Jane Austenové (1775-1817. Přestože tato autorka nebyla sociální teoretičkou ani bojovnicí za práva žen, je jednoznačně vnímána jako důležitá postava v rodícím se ženském ideovém hnutí. This diploma thesis tries to find an answer to the question why do we generally consider the novelist Jane Austen (1775-1817) a part of the early feminist movement although she was neither philosopher nor social theorist, and by no means campaigner for women rights.
