This Bachelor thesis deals with Friedrich Adler(1857-1938). Friedrich Adler was a lawyer, but from his childhood he was interested in modern foreign literature and so he started to translate soon. By himself he wrote a few own poems and dramas, which didn't acquire special significance indeed. Friedrich Adler is considered as the best translater of Vrchliskys' poems. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá Friedrichem Adlerem(1857-1938). Friedrich Adler byl povoláním advokát, ale již od mládí se zajímal o cizí modení literaturu a tak začal brzy překládat. Sám napsal několik vlastních básní a dramat, která ovšem nenabyla zvláštního významu. Friedrich Adler je považován za nejlepšího překladatele básní od Vrchlického.
