This Bachelor’s thesis deals with the translation of the book A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess. The thesis consists of a practical part containing the translation of the first four chapters of the book, while the theoretical part firstly provides theoretical background for translation in general, mostly using the works of theoreticians Peter Newmark, Jiří Levý and Dagmar Knittlová, and secondly …more
