Domestic violence - the most common reasons preventing the victim from leaving

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na téma nejčastějších důvodů, které zabraňují oběti v odchodu od násilné osoby v případech domácího násilí. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikovat nejčastější důvody zabraňující odchodu oběti od násilné osoby a dílčím cílem je zjistit, jakou pomoc oběť při odchodu potřebuje. V teoretické části jsou zanalyzovány a následně zpracovány dostupné a relevantní informace získané z odborné literatury, elektronických zdrojů a související legislativy. V praktické části je nejdříve uvedeno kvantitativní výzkumné šetření, jehož cílem bylo buď potvrdit, nebo vyvrátit stanovené hypotézy. Poté je uvedeno kvalitativní výzkumné šetření, kde jsou popsány rozhovory s osobami, které se osobně staly oběťmi domácího násilí. Všechna data získaná pomocí obou výzkumných šetření, jsou zanalyzována a následně textově i graficky vyhodnocena. V závěru diplomové práce je uvedeno vyhodnocení naplnění stanovených cílů, přínos práce, a zejména odpověď na daný výzkumný problém.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the most common reasons that prevent the victim from leaving the abusive person in cases of domestic violence. The main goal of the thesis is to identify the most common reasons preventing the victim from leaving the violent person and the sub-goal is to find out what help the victim needs in leaving. In the theoretical part, available and relevant information obtained from the literature, electronic sources and related legislation is analysed and subsequently processed. In the practical part, a quantitative research investigation is presented first, which aimed to either confirm or refute the stated hypotheses. Then the qualitative research investigation is presented, where interviews with persons who have personally been victims of domestic violence are described. All the data obtained through both research investigations are analysed and subsequently evaluated textually and graphically. The thesis concludes with an evaluation of the fulfilment of the stated objectives, the contribution of the thesis, and especially the answer to the given research problem.
