Detection of errors is very problematic in complex networks and support from tools which would make this work easier for network administrators is insufficient. Počítačové siete začali byť postupom času čoraz viac komplexné a teda aj komplikované na konfiguráciu. Hľadanie chýb v takýchto komplexných a komplikovaných systémoch je veľmi problematické a podpora pre administrátorov siete zo strany rôznych nástrojov uľahčujúcich túto prácu je nedostatočná.
