Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské diplomové práce je úloha státu v procesu „taiwanizace“ na Taiwanu. Taiwanizace v čínském originále známá pod názvem „Taiwan bentuhua yundong“, je jedno z nejvýznamnějších sociálních hnutí probíhající na Taiwanu od konce 80. let, které vychází z taiwanského nacionalismu. Taiwanizace se zabývá otázkou sebeurčení taiwanské populace a jejich národní identitou. Práce se nejdříve zaměřuje na obecné představení fenoménu taiwanizace. Druhá část práce zpracovává přehled, který se soustředí na postoj státu v třech různých obdobích tohoto procesu. Poslední část práce pak zpracovává jednu případovou studii, která poukazuje na současnou roli a postoj státu k „taiwanizace“ především v souvislosti s politickými a společenskými změnami. Konkrétně se jedná o veřejné hlasování, „Taiwan zongjiao bai jing quanmin piaoxuan huodong“, kde měla veřejnost v roce 2013 možnost vybrat 100 nejzajímavějších míst Taiwanu s náboženskou tématikou a potenciálem přitáhnout turisty. Práce se snaží především odpovědět na otázku: Jak může být toho hlasování chápáno ve spojitost s taiwanizací? Práce pracuje s hypotézou, že výběr 100 nejzajímavějších míst s náboženskou tématikou je další případ „taiwanizace“, která je podporovaná státem. V tomto případě se jedná o popularizaci taiwanské kultury a podpora ekonomického rozvoje na místní úrovni. Hlavním cílem práce je poukázat na změny aktérů hnutí, charakteru hnutí a jeho funkce v průběhu jeho vývoje.

Abstract:

The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to focus on the role of the state in the process of “taiwanization” in Taiwan. Taiwanization is in Chinese known as “Taiwan bentuhua yundong” and it is the one of the most important social movements based on Taiwanese nationalism which has been ongoing in Taiwan since the late 1980s. Taiwanization is dealing with issues of self-determination of Taiwanese population and their national identity. The first part of the thesis is generally introducing the phenomenon of taiwanization in Taiwan. The second part is dealing with an overview mainly focusing on state’s stance on process of taiwanization in three stages. The last part of the thesis is analysing the study case which point out current role and stance of the state towards taiwanization mainly in context of political and social changes. Specifically it is public voting “Taiwan zongjiao bai jing quanmin piaoxuan huodong” held in 2013 where Taiwanese population had a chance to choose 100 of the most interesting religious spots in Taiwan which have potential to attract tourists. The thesis is trying to answer the question: How can be this public voting understood in the context of taiwanization? The thesis is dealing with the hypothesis that the choice of 100 of the most interesting religious spots in Taiwan with potential to attract tourists is another example of taiwanization. In this case it is popularization of Taiwanese culture and support of economical development at a local level. The main aim of the thesis is to focus on changes in representatives of movement, in character of movement and its role over a period of its process.
