Development of communication and language skills among the socially disadvantaged children in kindergarten in Obrnice

Abstract:

Obsah bakalářské práce je zaměřen na činnosti pedagoga v MŠ a zejména způsoby, kterými rozvíjí komunikační a jazykové dovednosti u dětí ze sociálně vyloučené lokality v Obrnicích. Teoretická část obsahuje popis činností, které rozvíjejí porozumění řeči a souvislé vyjadřování u dětí předškolního věku. Zaměřuje se na vysvětlení pojmu logopedická prevence, čemu se věnuje a jak ji lze s dětmi v MŠ provádět. Objasňuje příčiny a příznaky poruch řeči, prevenci či následnou reedukaci. Praktická část je zaměřena na to, jak může mateřská škola pomoci těmto dětem při jejich adaptaci a jaké metody, formy a prostředky usnadní těmto dětem problémy při komunikaci. Součástí praktické části je výzkum, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, na jaké úrovni jsou komunikační a jazykové dovednosti u předškolních dětí v MŠ v Obrnicích, přístup rodičů k tomuto problému a názory učitelek, které popisují komunikační dovednosti dětí ze své praxe.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the activities of kindergarten teachers and in particular on the methods for developing communication and language skills in children from socially excluded locality in Obrnice. The theoretical part describes the particular activities that help develop understanding of speech and coherent expression in children of preschool age. It is focused on explaining the notion of preventative speech therapy, the areas addressed and the methods for performing preventative speech therapy with kindergarten children. It explains the causes and symptoms of speech disorders, prevention, and subsequent education. The practical part is focused on the ways in which kindergarten can help these children in their adaptation and on methods, forms, and tools that can help these children with their communication problems. One part of the practical section of the thesis is research, whose aim was to determine the level of communication and language skills in preschool children attending kindergarten in Obrnice, the attitude of parents to this problem and the opinions of teachers who describe communication skills of children from their kindergarten.
