Analysis of the success factors of a hotel

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je nalezení klíčových faktorů úspěšnosti hotelu, analýza velkých hotelových řetězců jako Hilton Hotels Corporation a Marriott International, porovnání hodnocení hotelů Hilton Prague a Prague Marriott, nabídnutí nejefektivnějších způsobu dosáhnutí úspěchu v hotelnictví a způsobů zlepšení kultury a kvality služeb v hotelu. Analýza a srovnání jsou provedeny na základě odborné literatury a hodnocení návštěvníků hotelů na webové stránce booking.com. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. V teoretické části jsem uvedla klíčové faktory úspěšnosti v hotelovém průmyslu. Analytická část analyzuje a porovnává získané informace o hotelových řetězcích Hilton Hotels Corporation a Marriott International, a také o hotelích Hilton a Marriott na Praze 1. Praktická část práce přináší určité způsoby zlepšení kultury a kvality služeb v hotelu, a také ukazuje, jak kvalifikace a školení personálu podporuje úspěšné postavení hotelu. V závěru práce jsem ohodnotila efektivnost řízení hotelů a hotelových řetězců, které jsem popsala ve své bakalářské práci. Tato práce je zpracována tak, aby byla použita jako pomocný materiál pro hotely, které chtějí dosáhnout úspěšnosti a umět tak konkurovat v hotelovém průmyslu.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is finding the key factors of the success of a hotel, analysis of major hotel chains such as Hilton Hotels Corporation and Marriott International, comparing hotel reviews Hilton Prague and Prague Marriott, offering the most effective way of achieving success in the hotel industry and ways to improve the culture and quality of service at the hotel. Analysis and comparison based on special literature and assessment of hotels guests on the website booking.com. The work consists of 3 parts. In the theoretical part I presented the key factors for success in the hotel industry. The analytical part analyzes and compares the information about the hotel chains Hilton Hotels Corporation and Marriott International and also Marriott and Hilton hotels in Prague 1st. The project part brings some ways to improve the culture and quality of service in the hotel and also shows how the qualifications and training of operating personnel supports successful position in the hotel. At the end, I evaluated the effectiveness of the management of hotels and hotel chains, which I described in my work. This work is processed to be used as an auxiliary material for hotels that want to reach the target to be successful and be able to compete in the hotel industry.
